For our Tuesday, October 1 class we really covered a lot! We covered Google forms and created surveys which I thought was so fun and useful! One nice feature was that the results of the survey were automatically put into a spreadsheet that could be easily viewed.
Another fun thing we did, the whole class got into a Google Hangout. It was really great, and I can see this being useful in the future when I'm working with groups and maybe meeting in person isn't a possibility. I used to work for an engineering company and we would have meetings with people from all over the United States. Our company would either fly there and have people fly in - this would be so much more economical and can achieve almost the same effect as meeting in person.
Imagine having kids use Hangouts to meet an author or scientist or connect with another classroom. These are some ways educators are using Hangouts. I love how easy it is to use Hangouts. Google forms are easy to use too and work well for assessment.
